How it works

The FAABulous Gambler has the option to spice things up (if they choose to) and can wager in 1 of 2 ways each week:

(1) FAAB Gambling

They can bet against the "house" up to $25 in FAAB that they will be a top 6 scoring team for the week. If top 6 then they get the wagered amount from the league bank (AKA FAAB created out of thin air). If bottom 6, the wagered FAAB is lost to the league bank never to be seen again.

(2) Player Gambling

They can challenge their weekly matchup opponent and put their best player on the line as collateral. If the FAAB Gambler wins, they take their opponent's #1 scoring player for the week as a free rental for the next 2 weeks. If the FAAB Gambler loses, their victorious opponent gets to take the Gambler's #1 scoring player for the next week's matchup. Winning team has the option to take $25 FAAB from the loser instead of the #1 player if they choose.

What the budget means

Stronger powers start you with less money. In an Extreme league, a team holding FAABulous Gambler drafts with $175 of auction budget against the $200 baseline. Either way it starts the season with $350 of free-agent bidding money. Choosing a power is choosing a trade-off.
