How it works
With scales like armor & fiery breath, a dragon can seem unbeatable. The Dragon Slayer's power might not activate every week, but when it does it will be felt in a big way.
The Dragon Slayer can choose 2 players from an opposing team to be "targeted" for that week. If a targeted player ends up being one of the top fantasy scorers for their position for the week (top 3 QB, top 3 RB, top 3 WR, top 5 TE) then the score for the targeted player is slayed (0 points for the week). Dragon Slayer's own players are omitted from the 'top 3/5' count when targeting players.
What the budget means
Stronger powers start you with less money. In an Extreme league, a team holding Dragon Slayer drafts with $175 of auction budget against the $200 baseline. Either way it starts the season with $400 of free-agent bidding money. Choosing a power is choosing a trade-off.
Normal leagues draft snake, so there is no auction budget to spend — see the rules for the full comparison.
