How it works
Coaching often makes or breaks a game.
Regular fantasy football doesn't offer the chance to hijack your opponent's lineup. In the SFFL, it's possible & encouraged!
The Offensive Coordinator designates 1 of 5 different formations that both teams in the weekly matchup must adhere to. Both teams have to play the same formation, but depending on roster construction, injuries, bye weeks, etc, one formation could bring a significant advantage over another.
The Formations Are:
- Heavy: 2 RB / 3 WR / 3 TE
- Hail Mary: 2 RB / 5 WR / 1 TE
- Ball Control: 4 RB / 3 WR / 1 TE
- West Coast: 3 RB / 4 WR / 1 TE
- Balanced: 3 RB / 3 WR / 2 TE
What the budget means
Stronger powers start you with less money. In an Extreme league, a team holding Offensive Coordinator drafts with $175 of auction budget against the $200 baseline. Either way it starts the season with $350 of free-agent bidding money. Choosing a power is choosing a trade-off.
Normal leagues draft snake, so there is no auction budget to spend — see the rules for the full comparison.
